Academy Council election results
Following the recent election we are pleased to announce that the following five applicants have been elected to serve as Academy Council members for a 2 year term of office:
- Husna Begum
- Alesa Rahman
- Amanda Fox
- Nahar Begum
- Emmanual Asare
The successful candidates will be meeting shortly to agree a date, time and agenda for the next AC meeting and to elect a new chair. All parents/carers will be advised of the outcome of this meeting shortly thereafter.
If there are any issues you would like added to the agenda please put in writing and hand it to the admin office.
The school would like to thank all parent/carers who put their names forward for election and everyone who took the trouble to vote.
Extra-curricular clubs information
The clubs below will be running from Monday 6th November 2017 to Friday 15th December , All clubs are for Year 1 upwards, unless otherwise stated.
You can sign up for clubs from Thursday 2nd November in the playground from 08:45 to 09:00 and in the office from 15:45. Alternatively you can sign up online using SIMS Activities. Places are allocated on a first come, first served basis. As agreed by the Academy Council, half of all places for each club will be reserved for online sign-ups.
Payment (exact cash only) must be made to the office to secure club places.
Mondays:
- Film Club. £5 per half term.
- Judo Club. No charge. Year 2 upwards.
Tuesdays:
- Art Club. £5 per half term.
- Cooking Club. £5 per half term.
Wednesdays:
- Art Club. £5 per half term.
- Multisports Club. No charge. Year 2 upwards.
Thursdays:
- Cooking Club. £5 per half term.
- Computing Club. £5 per half term
Fridays:
- Computing Club. £5 per half term.
Academy Council nominations
A reminder that we are inviting nominations from interested parent/carers to nominate themselves forward to become part of the Academy Council. The deadline for nominations has been extended to Wednesday 11th October at 4pm. You can email your nomination to Muhammad Kamaly, Office Manager – muhammad.kamaly@paradigmtrust.org or in writing to the office. If you would like more information, please contact Muhammad in the first instance.

You can sign up for clubs from Thursday 14th September in the playground from 08:45 to 09:00 and in the office from 15:45. Alternatively you can sign up online using SIMS Activities. These are being added to your SIMS Activities Homepage as quickly as possible. Places are allocated on a first come, first served basis. As agreed by the Academy Council, half all all places for each club will be reserved for online sign-ups. Payment (exact cash only) must be made to the office to secure club places.

- Film Club. £5 per half term.
- Cricket Club. No charge. Year 2 upwards.
Tuesdays:
- Art Club. £5 per half term.
- Cooking Club. £5 per half term.
Wednesdays:
- Art Club. £5 per half term.
- Badminton Club. No charge. Year 2 upwards.
Thursdays:
- Cooking Club. £5 per half term.
- ICT Club. £5 per half term
Fridays:
- ICT Club. £5 per half term.
Breakfast Club
We are inviting sign ups for Breakfast club. Sessions run every day from 8am to 8.50am. Pupils must arrive before 8.20am so that we can ensure that there is the right amount of food for each pupil. There is a charge of £1.00 for non-working parents/carers, and £2.00 for working parents/carers a week, to be paid at the start of each half term. There are limited places for this, so pupils will be allocated a place on a first come first served basis.
Please note:
- If your child does not attend a minimum of 1 day per week every week, then their place will be given to another pupil, unless this has been agreed.
- Pupils must not arrive before 8am.
- Even if your child has attended breakfast club in the past, you must sign up again and ensure all sessions are paid for.
You can sign up online using SIMS Activities. This is our preferred method of signing for this and all after school clubs. Invitations have been sent to all families who have provided us with an email address. Alternatively, you can call the office and reserve a place on 0207 364 1010 or by emailing info@cullodenacademy.org.
