Spring 2 Highlights

A warm welcome to all parents and carers. I would like to express how delighted we are once again to share all the hard work and progress the children have shown this half term. Please continue to celebrate achievements big and small, together at home.

What we’ve been working on

This term we have focused on learning about The Roman Empire (not in Britain) for History.

Understanding the impact climate and location had on ancient Rome. We have also learned that an ancient Roman person’s life depended on money and rank within society. Roman men, women and children had very different lives depending on how much wealth they had or did not have. Learning about roads and trades in Roman times was also very interesting as some parts of the original road systems still exist in Europe.

See what you can find

Please go on a scavenger hunt on your way to school or home, and see how many of these you can spot!

Important Reminders

Please continue to read together at home with the children. They have really made progress with their reading with expression skills. They also really enjoyed World Book Day 2026.

Please stay updated via My Child at School app.

  • School reopens – Tuesday 14th April 2026.
  • Educational visit Museum off Docklands – Monday 18th May.
  • Eid Fair – Wednesday 20th May, 3:45-5:00pm.

Have a restful break everyone!
