Academy Council

I am delighted to be joining the School Academy Council this year. I am a passionate advocate for amplifying the voices of those who are often unheard.

As a parent, I understand the perspectives and concerns that families bring, and I draw on that insight in my work. I have experience navigating challenges and supporting others through professional training, particularly in contexts that require sensitivity to culture and corporate environments.

My focus is to support Culloden School in the excellent work they are already doing with our children, helping every child to reach their full potential in education.

I am privileged to be part of the Academy Council, and I believe that my background in education enables me to contribute meaningfully to the continued development of the school.

I want every child—regardless of their academic starting point – to feel confident in challenging themselves, recognising that mistakes are a natural and valuable part of learning. By encouraging pupils to value effort and understand that their abilities can develop over time, we help them build resilience, self-belief, and the skills they need to succeed not only at Culloden but throughout their future education and adult life.

My aim is to support the school in remaining a place where every pupil feels valued and inspired to achieve their best, and to ensure that when they leave us, they are fully prepared and ready to embark on their new journey in secondary school.

I am delighted to have been elected as a member of the Academy Council.

I look forward to working closely with the school, fellow council members, parents and the wider community to support Culloden Academy’s continued success.

With experience as a healthcare leader and former elected councillor, I have spent many years working closely with residents, families and local organisations to improve community services and champion positive outcomes. In my current role managing NHS general practices, I focus on supporting families, strengthening engagement and ensuring high-quality, inclusive services for diverse communities.

I am committed to helping ensure that every pupil has the best possible opportunities to thrive and be able to reach their full potential.

I look forward to bringing my skills in leadership, collaboration and community development to support the ongoing success of Culloden Academy and I am excited to contribute positively over the coming two years.

It will be a pleasure to serve a third term as an Academy Councillor championing the views of parents to ensure the betterment of the school so the best possible education can be provided to the children.

I have lived within Tower Hamlets all my life and currently live within the area so understand the needs of the area and the borough.

I have also previously worked and served as a school governor in multiple schools within the borough and worked in the local Council supporting children’s and schools’ services. These roles have allowed me to understand how different schools are governed and the challenges faced by the various stakeholders connected to the schools.

My occupation entails serving as a CFO and Board member for a technology company, providing corporate consultancy services globally, and holding Directorship for companies that develop residential properties and provide housing services to the north of England.

I am very pleased to have been elected to the Academy Council for the second term.

I look forward to being the parents’ voice and working with the school to continue to promote, school to be a safe and happy place for all children. A place which encourages children to thrive and achieve their full potential in education and all aspects of their life.
