Poet performs at Culloden

Year 1 had the privilege to host Rachel Chadwick in class to recite one of her published poems to the class. Pupils loved to hear her voice as well as learning many new BSL signs.

Learning together for Mental Health Week

As part of Children’s Mental Health Week, we held a parent and child workshop focusing on the theme of belonging.

The workshop created an awareness of all the different places we belong, such as school, home, family, friendship groups, clubs and wider the community and how a sense of belonging is good for our wellbeing.
Pupils created a personal map of where they belong, including people, places and activities.

Unsung Heroes

This week’s unsung heroes are:

Abdul for brilliantly managing Y6 and their SATs preparation.

Shanta for brilliantly managing Nursery and RW.

Culloden’s school councillors excel in Building Detectives workshop.

RAFT (Retrofit Action For Tomorrow) were very impressed with the children’s enthusiasm, knowledge and caring concern for our unique planet Earth.

We learnt a lot about our school building and being energy efficient and made beautiful climate action pledges that we showed in assembly. We challenge our community to make a climate pledge too. Even something as small as making sure things are switched off when not in use, can make a difference if we all join in!

Attendance Reporting

All medical appointments should be made outside of school hours where possible.

If your child has a medical appointment you will need to notify the Attendance team in the office not the Class Teacher. Proof of any appointments will be requested by the Attendance Team.

Please make sure to contact school for each day that your child is absent. You can do this by calling the School or through MCAS.
