Culloden Newsletter

Wishing all our staff, children and families at CPA a restful holiday.

We hope to see everyone back for autumn term from Thursday 3rd September 2026.

Creativity Connects

Our parent and child art workshop was buzzing with energy and creativity!

Parents and children worked side by side using acrylics and created lovely artworks on canvas depicting the things that represent them and make them happy.

The artwork will be displayed in our foyer for all to see and enjoy.

Sports Day

Well done to all out Culloden stars who participated in the sports day event.
Children enjoyed many activities with families joining in with the fun!

School Councillors

Congratulations on our school councillors this year who have shown a great amount of dedication, leadership and responsibility in their role.

We are incredibly proud of everything they have achieved and all the hard work they have shown to make a positive change in our school. To show our appreciation, all the school councillors had a wonder picnic at Olympic Park and received their end of service certificate.

Year 6 Leavers

We wish all of our Y6 pupils the best for their next chapter in education, keep in touch and good luck with your new schools!

An incredible summer fair

Thank you to everyone who joined us for our annual Summer Fair!

The playground was filled with delighted children and it was wonderful to see our pupils and parents having a fantastic time together. From the crowded games and food stalls, to the bouncy castles, the community spirit was shining through.

A special thanks to our Academy council parents who volunteered on the day, you helped make it a resounding success. We raised £967!! Vital funds that will go towards our next school fair. Thank you!

Relationships, Sex & Health Education (RSHE) Consultation

In September 2026 the Department for Education’s new RSHE guidance becomes statutory. This year, Paradigm Trust ran a parent/carer consultation on the changes. The results of this are available on the Paradigm Trust website.

School starts 08:55.

Children arriving after this time are to enter through the Dee Street office entrance and drop the children in the main hall, please make sure late register is signed in on arrival.

Healthy Teeth

Toothbrushing is one of the healthy routines children need to know and practice. This new guide will help parents instil the habit correctly.

Healthy School

We recommend sending your child with a healthy snack, crisps and sweets are not allowed as a part of the healthy snack policy. Please find ideas for healthy snacks below:

  • Vegetable sticks (carrots, celery, or peppers)
  • Apple slices or chunks
  • Rice cakes or corn cakes (plain)
  • Breadsticks or oatcakes
  • Sugar snap peas

 

Other Healthy Ideas:
● Fruit: Bananas, berries, or grapes.
● Protein: Cheese cubes or yogurt tubes.
● Savoury: Plain crackers or hummus.

Unsung Heroes

Music team: For putting together a fantastic performance.

Staff: For handling the heatwave over the past weeks.

A Reminder to Nursery Parents

Due to the construction work the Kirkmichael Road gate will be closed.

Please ensure children are collected on time at 12 noon at the reception entrance.

Attendance Reporting

All medical appointments should be made outside of school hours where possible.

If your child has a medical appointment you will need to notify the Attendance team in the office not the Class Teacher. Proof of any appointments will be requested by the Attendance Team.

Please make sure to contact school for each day that your child is absent. You can do this by calling the School or through MCAS.

Attendance Matters

It is important for all our pupils to come to school every day and on time! Regular attendance and punctuality helps us learn well in school, make friends and have fun. When we miss school, it is easy to fall behind and miss out on exciting lessons and activities. Poor attendance can also affect our friendships, making it harder to join in class discussions and group projects.

Food bank

Tahseenul Quran, in partnership with Tower Hamlets Council, will be running a food bank every Wednesday 8:30am-9.15am, outside the school gates.

Parents Coffee Morning

We hold a coffee morning every Wednesday during term time, from 9.10am-10.00am.

It’s a fantastic opportunity to meet with other parents and carers, make connections and enjoy a bit of socialising. There’s no need to book, just turn up on the day. We look forward to seeing you!
