SEND Review Feedback

Recently a SEND review of the school was carried out by a previous Ofsted Inspector, and there were many strengths identified across the school.

The pupils were very settled in their calm and purposeful learning environments. A clear focus on communication and language was observed across the school as well as the strong use of visuals, resources and the pupils spoke confidently about their learning. Teaching of the deaf pupils was highly effective and well differentiated to meet the differing needs of pupils.

Winners!

Congratulations to Iyaaz in year 3 and Sarah H in year 2 for winning the recycling poster competition.

Well done to everyone who entered – we had some wonderfully creative work to look at!

Year 5 D&T Week

Last week, Year 5 put their culinary skills to the test as they prepared an Asian-style rainbow noodle salad.

The pupils practiced their chopping techniques before making their final products (which they all thought were delicious).

Unsung Heroes

This week’s unsung heroes are:

Mahbuba for being an excellent support with the Reception SEND pupils.

Imraan for being flexible in his role and always supporting the pupils.

The ceremony will take place at Old Ford Primary on Friday 10 July, starting from 2.15pm. Parents/carers of children receiving awards will be invited to attend. We will confirm nearer the time if your child has been invited to the ceremony, along with additional details but, for now, please pencil that date and time into your diary.
