Culloden held up as exemplar of SEND teaching and learning

Mar 18th

CPA has signed to the London RISE Open Education to share our practice, in particular with SEND teaching and learning.

RISE (Regional Improvement for Standards and Excellence) aims to ensure every school can rise and every learner can thrive by strengthening collaboration, sharing excellence, and driving sustained improvement across the city.

As part of this, schools which are seen as having great practice in one or more areas are identified, and chosen to share their expertise with representatives of other schools.

Recently we hosted the first of several planned sessions on ‘Championing Inclusion’, welcoming educators from across the city, including Mushahid Kadir, who said:

“I observed particularly effective provision for pupils with additional needs, including dedicated support for deaf pupils delivered by trained BSL instructors. Staff worked confidently and sensitively with children, and the SENCO team demonstrated a clear focus on early support and constructive relationships with families.”
