Our group had a fantastic day exploring the Crossrail Place Roof Garden in Canary Wharf, turning a city landscape into a vibrant outdoor classroom.
The adventure began with a thrill for many of our pupils as they experienced their very first journey on the DLR, navigating the docks and taking in the sights of London from the rails.
To support our current “Zoo Animals” topic, they spent the afternoon sketching the exotic plants and wildlife, carefully considering the unique habitats and climates that different animals need to survive. It was a joy to see our pupils so engaged with the garden, especially as they shared these discoveries alongside their parents. This trip was a wonderful way to build confidence and bring our classroom learning to life in such a peaceful, leafy setting.
